The Announcement

No...I'm not pregnant! The big announcement is that we are moving to Houston. We had to wait due to work sensitivity issues. I gave my notice and am finally free! The movers are coming tomorrow and we'll be on our way to the lone star state Thursday.

We're pretty excited about the move. Brian and I are both ready for a change. We do love Atlanta and can only hope that we will feel the same about Houston. Aside from the HOT summers, we've only heard good things.

Once we get semi-settled I'll post those pictures I've been promising. Until then...

Too Long...

It's been so long since I've had the time to post. I promise to be better moving forward. We have an announcement to make very soon. Unfortunately, we have to wait for the right moment. Be sure to stay tuned.

Kendall is approaching her 10th month and is proving her genius more and more every day. We're having more fun than ever! The girl is on the move in a major way and doesn't slow down until 8 p.m. Then she crashes!

Thankfully, we're finally on a schedule. She knows bath time, bed time and is saying "Daddy" (everything is Daddy) and "Uh Oh". The funny part about her "Uh Oh" is that she uses the lower end of her voice. It's hilarious! Her little voice is the cutest thing I've ever heard.

She's growing up so fast. I want time to stand still for a bit so I can enjoy my baby for a little longer. There's so many things I say I can't wait for, than I have to remind myself to be careful what I wish for because time surely will fly by in a blink of an eye.

Kendall’s 1st birthday will be held in Clarksville, TN where granny Cherub lives. We’re very excited!

I’ll post some of our latest pics soon. Thanks for reading and stay tuned.

Heart Walk 2008

On the 1st of this month Brian, Kendall and I joined my co-workers of New South Construction for the American Heart Walk. As a company, we were #1 for this event - raising over $40,000. Thank you to all of our friends and family who contributed to this worthy cause.

It was a brisk morning, but we looked at it as another chance to try out Kendall's pumpkin suit.

1st Halloween

Halloween was fun! On the 25th we went to Oliver & Jenn's Halloween /house warming party. It was a ton of fun. Brian was Lt. Dangle from Reno 911 and I was also a cop. Thanks to Mom and her awesome sewing skills, Kendall was our little convict. Grandma Cherub spent a lot of time making her costume and it was a total hit. Thanks ma!

We spent the first hour with family, then the grandparents were nice enough to take our little angel home while the adults stayed and played. It was our first night out since she came into our world. We missed her, but knew she was in great hands with Pam, Bill, Cameron and little Miss Tori.

Halloween night we met Kim, Rob, Grandma Lynn and the twins (Ben and Alex) at the Mall of Georgia for trick-or-treating. What an experience that was. Alex was Jack Sparro and Ben was Captian Hook. They looked so cool and drew quite the crowd. Kendall was NOT thrilled about her second Halloween costume, which was a pumpkin. She was WAY too hot in it, so we ended up stripping her down to her onesie.

Duluth Fall Festival

These pics are a bit late. Two weekends ago we enjoyed corn dogs and funnel cake at the Duluth Fall Festival. It was a ton of fun hanging out with newlyweds, Jenn and Oliver, Oliver's family, Kim, Rob and the Twins, Ben and Alex.

Kendall had fun strolling along, watching all the people, dogs and listening to live music. She's getting more and more aware of her surroundings and is very curious. She missed two naps that day because I guess she was afraid she would miss something. We paid for it later! I'm still trying to figure out why, when kids get overly tired, they get super hyper. When I'm tired, I sleep.

Brian and I are now on a festival kick, wanting to go to everyone possible. The Taste of Alpharetta is coming up. We look forward to anything that involves good food.

Life Gets in the Way

Life is so stressful at times. There’s never enough hours or energy in the day. Poor little Kendall probably doesn’t even know who her parents are because she spends more time with her sitter than with us. As a mom, that’s heartbreaking.

Now more than ever I crave to spend every waking moment with her. Lately, she’s been so interactive and its very obvious that she understands the way things work. She has perfected the fake cry and is all girl with her ability to go from tears to smiles in the drop of a hat.

Both Brian and I live for Fridays. Spending time together as a family is what life is all about. Nothing else seems to matter on weekends. Whether we’re at home watching TV or making our daily trip to Target, we love being together.

Thank god Friday is almost here.
