Life is so stressful at times. There’s never enough hours or energy in the day. Poor little Kendall probably doesn’t even know who her parents are because she spends more time with her sitter than with us. As a mom, that’s heartbreaking.
Now more than ever I crave to spend every waking moment with her. Lately, she’s been so interactive and its very obvious that she understands the way things work. She has perfected the fake cry and is all girl with her ability to go from tears to smiles in the drop of a hat.
Both Brian and I live for Fridays. Spending time together as a family is what life is all about. Nothing else seems to matter on weekends. Whether we’re at home watching TV or making our daily trip to Target, we love being together.
Thank god Friday is almost here.

Happy 4 Months!!!
Happy 4 months to our little angel.
She's trying with all her might to sit up. I just know it's going to happen this weekend. We'll keep you posted and post pics.

A Sweet Ride
Well, we did it. We got the Tahoe. Kendall just had to have it and Brian and I just couldn't say no. She's pretty sweet with her seemingly endless features. Some of my favorites include: remote start, DVD player, leather, Bose speakers, XM radio, power everything and heated seats in front and rear. She's sitting on some fly 20" wheels and tires too.
Sorry. I know this isn't the best picture. We'll take more this weekend. Maybe one of Brian on the hood in his speedo. Yeah!
We are prepared for the increase in gas, but hope the room and security of having a larger vehicle for a safer ride will outweigh this expense. An added bonus is that it has the E85 Flex Fuel option, though it's not too popular in the Atlanta area yet, hopefully with regular gas prices the way they are, more stations will soon have it.
Kendall's car seat fits much better and she can look out the window, which was part of the problem with the BMW. They just don't make cars large enough for car seats, dogs and family trips.

Fun Fridays
Little Miss Kendall spent some time getting used to her Jumperoo before crashing out. It seems like she has developed so much over the last few days. She's started to touch and move her toys and just today she learned and responds to her name. Her little smile and they way she says "I love you" with a soft blink gets me every time.

The First Day
Okay, so I decided to start blogging. Apparently, its all the rage. My hope is that family and friends will check back often to read about what's going on in the life of the Jones'. I have some catching up to do to bring you up to date.
First I'd like to start by introducing myself. I am Kendall's mom. On May 18, 2008 at 6:52 p.m. I lost my identity as Meredith Jones. I became the proud mother of the most amazing baby girl in the entire universe.
The labor and delivery was easier than I could
have ever asked for (with drugs - no doubt). We had a few scares when the pitocin didn't agree with our little girl, but overall it was the most awesome day of our lives. I still have a hard time not crying when reliving my account of that day.
When she made her first appearance I remember thinking how gorgeous she was. She looked just like a cabbage patch doll. She was so little, but round and plump at the same time. After clearing the tears from his eyes, Brian counted her fingers and toes. She was perfect!!!
People tell you how wonderful it is to have a baby, how your life will change (for the better of course) and how truly blessed you will feel, all of which is an understatement. Being fortunate enough to become a mom is the greatest gift I could have ever received. Each day I fall more and more in love with my little perfect angel.
I can't believe she'll be 4 months soon. The time has gone by so fast. She's learning new things every day and looking more and more like her gorgeous dad. She still has no hair, but her beautiful big blue eyes make up for it. Who needs hair anyway???
